Go The Extra Mile for Nurses

Intensive Care, as a specialty, wouldn’t exist without the hard-working and learned nurses. Nurses spend the most time with the patient and are often the first to pick up subtle changes in clinical status.

Go The Extra Mile provides MCQs for nurses working in intensive care.

Many of these questions focus on:

  • Interpreting monitor waveforms (e.g., ventilator, ECG and pacing, capnogram, pulmonary artery catheter or central venous pressure waveform, etc.)

  • The setup of complex systems like continuous renal replacement therapy

Upon passing the test, a certificate of completion is emailed. The certificate states the approximate time required to complete each test, including the review of feedback.

MCQs in Anaesthesiology

Many topics are shared between Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. GTEM has a small section for Anaesthesiology trainees preparing for their primary exams.

It covers a number of basic sciences topics including:

  • Physiology

  • Pharmacology

This section is a work in progress, and more questions will be added in due course.
