I struggle to stay away from my phone for more than a few minutes at a time. How do you manage to keep yourself away from distractions of mobile phone and social media?
Shine Kumar:
I deactivated my Facebook account for a few days. I used Twitter to follow other doctors to get updates. I kept my phone with me while reading, mainly to Google things I didn’t understand. I disconnected mobile data and used it only when needed.

It must have been very difficult to focus on exams when you had to work in the ICU full of COVID patients. How did you manage to focus on preparation in the current climate? Were you worried about your own health during your preparation?
Shine Kumar:
Yes, I was worried about my health. I had adequate sleep and ate at the right time. I took one month leave for revision. Every evening, I went for a walk for about 30-45 minutes.
